To help ensure the California solar industry’s victory in the fight to save Net Metering, BayWa r.e. will cover half of member dues for any company that joins the California Solar & Storage Association (CALSSA) in October.
With an initial decision from the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) on the future of net metering and the California solar market coming out Dec. 10, BayWa r.e. is asking all solar companies to step up and support CALSSA’s work to save net metering. For decades CALSSA has played a leading role in the regulatory, legal and political fight to keep the California market strong and net metering alive.
“Net metering is essential to the continued growth of solar and engaging on this topic in California, which has historically led the U.S. in both installed volumes and policy standards, is especially important,” said Jodi White, co-CEO of BayWa r.e. Solar Systems LLC. “This program is a vehicle for BayWa r.e. to simultaneously support solar contractors and the renewables industry. We are a proud CALSSA member and invite all solar contractors and companies that do business in California to take advantage of our offer and join us in supporting net metering at this critical time.”
