Irvine, California: BayWa r.e., a global renewable energy developer and service provider, is pleased to announce that Fred Robinson has joined the team as EVP, Commercial Development, to further advance BayWa r.e.’s growing portfolio in North America, as well as the company’s origination and power marketing strategies.
Fred Robinson brings over a decade of experience in the energy industry, having spent the last four years at Cypress Creek Renewables as Vice President of New Market Development where he led growth of the company into key regions as well as Cypress’ strategic launch into energy storage, developing a pipeline of over 5 GW. Prior to joining Cypress, Fred was a member of NextEra Energy’s M&A team where he led the acquisition of over 500 MW of renewable assets. Fred received an MBA and M.S. of Environmental Management, Energy, and Environment from Duke University and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Villanova University.
As the EVP, Commercial Development, Fred will lead BayWa r.e.’s commercial strategy in the US and Mexico, focused on portfolio origination and acquisition along with power marketing. He will also be responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships with existing partners, including utilities, municipalities, and corporations.
