Global renewable energy developer, service provider and wholesaler, BayWa r.e. is proud to announce its Kilowatt sponsorship at this year’s Solar Power International (SPI) show, part of North America Smart Energy Week, from 23-26 of September in Salt Lake City, Utah.
In addition, BayWa r.e. is excited to announce their partnership with Protect our Winters (POW), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, at the conference this year. POW representatives will be at the BayWa r.e. booth (#3126) during the exhibition and Happy Hour to assist visitors with POW’s “Hill to Hill” VR experience, which provides an overview of what the organization is doing and how they are leading change on Capitol Hill.
As part of the SPI sponsorship, BayWa r.e. will host events throughout the show and conference in the “r.e.think energy” Park in SPI’s Power Plaza, culminating in a panel discussion and Oktoberfest celebration.
BayWa r.e. will also host a “r.e.think energy” panel discussion on Wednesday, September 25th, at 1pm in the Power Plaza. BayWa r.e. Solar Projects’ CEO Jam Attari will bring together a panel of industry leaders, including Abigail Ross Hopper, President and CEO of Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), Mario Molina, Executive Director of Protect Our Winters (POW), Brody Leven, professional skier and climate change advocate, and Michael Joyce, Partner, Wilson Sonsini to discuss the challenges our industry is facing and the active role we are all taking to drive change.

Following the panel discussion, connect with the BayWa r.e. team and industry peers to celebrate our German heritage on Wednesday, September 25th from 4-6pm, featuring beer from wind-powered Squatters Brewery, live music from the David Burchfield Band and a giveaway. For a chance to enter the giveaway, visitors are asked to donate to POW to support their mission.
BayWa r.e. will also be exhibiting in the main hall, at Booth 3126. The Power Plaza is located at the southwest entrance (corner of W Temple and 200 S) of the Salt Palace Convention Center.
