Where We Work and How We Stay Connected 

We believe that great teams are not defined by location. What matters is how we work together. At BayWa r.e., that means showing up with curiosity, accountability, and a willingness to collaborate.

BayWa r.e. has team members based in offices across the U.S. and Mexico, including Carlsbad, El Segundo, Charlottesville, and Monterrey. Many of our employees also work remotely, from cities and towns across North America.

Whether you’re near one of our hubs or based elsewhere, you’re part of one team, connected through shared values, strong communication, and a common purpose. 

Building Community Across the Map

Being remote doesn’t mean being disconnected. Our Remote Communities program began in Houston, when a few employees started meeting up informally to connect outside of work. What started as casual coffee chats quickly turned into something more meaningful. The idea was shared with leadership and became a formal program to help remote employees connect locally. 

Remote Communities bring together colleagues who live near each other for company-sponsored meetups. Organized by local Community Leaders, these gatherings might include coffee catchups, nature walks, or simply good conversation. 

These informal events help new teammates feel welcome and give remote employees a chance to build real connections in the places they live and work.

Voices from the Team - What it's Like to Work Here, Straight from the Source!

Meet Jayne Gelman, Development Associate at BayWa r.e.

Based in Boston, Jayne joined the Development Team in August of 2023. With a background in Environmental Studies, her interest in renewables began during her sophomore year of college after taking a Solar Energy class. 

Jayne’s advice after over five years in renewables? “Ask as many questions as you can, and don’t be afraid to throw out bold ideas! There are many ways to solve a problem, and sometimes the most unconventional approach is the one that works best.”

Meet Oscar Lopez, Graphic Design Team Lead at Baywa r.e.

Oscar joined the BayWa r.e. Team in 2020 and is currently based in Colima, Mexico. As a designer, he’s constantly finding new ways to bring creative ideas to life, may it be through graphics, video, or event branding.

Working remotely has taught him the value of consistent communication and collaborative problem-solving. What keeps him inspired? A flexible work environment, a high-performing team, and the chance to support a more sustainable future through design.
