to overview

BayWa r.e. today announced several key executive appointments in its Americas region.

BayWa r.e. named Fred Robinson as the new Chief Executive Officer of BayWa r.e. Solar Projects LLC, which develops and builds utility-scale solar and energy storage projects in the United States and Mexico. Robinson was previously the Executive Vice President of Commercial Development of the group and will lead the ongoing expansion of the business. Geoff Fallon has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer of BayWa r.e. Solar Projects LLC, where he was formerly the Executive Vice President of Development. Fallon joined BayWa r.e. earlier this year from Cypress Creek Renewables, where he was Vice President of Engineering and Project Management.

“Fred and Geoff bring a depth of experience to our executive leadership team at a time when we are focused on the rapid deployment of utility-scale solar and energy storage in the Americas,” said Axel Veeser, Director of Projects, Americas at BayWa r.e. USA LLC, BayWa r.e.’s Americas holding organization. “They have worked together as we have continued our aggressive expansion, and we are delighted to be able to provide internal growth opportunities for our talented team members.”

In addition, BayWa r.e. announced the formation of BayWa r.e. Operation Services LLC, which will be led by David Barnes as Executive Vice President. He brings decades of energy and renewables experience and was most recently at Oak Creek Energy Systems. The newly formed group, formerly held within BayWa r.e. Solar Projects LLC, will provide asset management and operations services for utility-scale solar and energy storage projects.

“Launching the Operation Services group will give BayWa r.e. the ability to provide proactive, real-time services to assets located in the United States and Mexico,” said Veeser. “David brings a track record of building services groups that optimize asset performance, and we are very pleased to welcome him to the BayWa r.e. team.”

These leadership changes follow the recent announcement of the rebranding of Enable Energy as BayWa r.e. Power Solutions, Inc, reinforcing the strength of BayWa r.e.’s growing presence and its offering in the Americas. BayWa r.e.’s growth in the region also means it continues to grow its team, bringing on talent for its wind projects, solar and energy storage projects, power solutions and distribution teams throughout the Americas.
